IR-Control for WinTV

IR-Control is an editor for the key definitions of the Hauppauge WinTV IR remote control. With IR-Control you can easily redefine the buttons to use the remote control as an additional input tool for windows. You can also run frequently used programs by pressing a button on your remote control.
IR-Control edits the file IRREMOTE.INI in your windows directory. All available schemes can be edited.

How to use IR-Control: (read irdocen.htm)

On the left side of the program window you see a picture of the remote control. By clicking on one of the buttons the definition for it is shown in the edit box in the lower right corner. You can either enter a new definition with your keyboard or chose a key in the list on the top. Some commands require a parameter to be entered in the "Option" input box. When you select "run/close application from the listbox and then click in the option input box with your right mouse button a browse dialog can be opened. You can also enter any character or digit directly.
The schemes can be chosen in the list "Scheme". The button "Extras" opens a menu that lets you define/delete and import/export a scheme.
By clicking the "Options..." button you see another window where you can do general settings. It is also possible to create a backup copy every time IRREMOTE.INI is saved.
Save the changes by clicking on "Save" and leave the program by clicking on "Close".
After you have saved the changes you must restart the IR-Software. Since version 1.22 IR-Control does this itself.
The option "Quickstart in system-tray" only works with the 32bit IR-software.
